Body physics (3D)
The Physics tab makes a 3D body part of the simulation: it falls, collides and rolls.
How to add
Select a body, open the Physics tab and enable Physics body. Then press Run in 3D mode.
Properties
- Body type
- Dynamic, static or kinematic.
- Mass, friction, bounce, damping
- As in 2D: they drive behaviour in impacts and sliding.
- Angular damping
- Damps the body's rotation.
- Initial velocity
- vx, vy, vz in metres per second.
- No-collision group
- Bodies with the same number do not collide with each other. Needed so wheels do not catch on the body.
Tips
- The ground and walls must be static, otherwise they fall.
- Put the parts of one mechanism into one no-collision group.
