Battery
The voltage source of a circuit. 6 V by default.
How to add
In the left Instruments and experiments panel, Electric circuits section: click the element and it appears in the centre of the frame. The element has terminals on the left and right. Connect them to other elements with the Wire tool (key W).
Properties
- Value, V
- The source EMF in volts.
- Angle
- Rotate by 90 degrees so the terminals point up and down.
Tips
- The circuit must be closed: from one battery terminal through the elements to the other. Press Run to see currents.
- A battery connected with no load is a short circuit and gives a huge current.
